About HVAC Visit
HVAC Visit answers one question per city: what does a new heat pump cost installed, this year, here. And one more: which rebates can you use, and how do you apply.
Sean Greene is the editor. He checks every number on every page against its source before it is published, and he sets the method on How prices are made.
Operated by HVAC Quote Desk. HVAC Quote Desk owns the pages, the records and the method. It works with the Verified contractors on this site. The cost ranges do not change because of that: every range names its public sources and the date they were read.
A Verified contractor on a city page is a contractor that published its terms here and books visits through the estimate tool on its own site. The cost ranges on a city page are market figures from public sources. They are never one contractor's prices.
A city page is short on purpose. It gives the range in the first 100 words, a cost table, the utility rebate with its valid dates, the permit facts from the city's own records, and a few questions with numbers. You can read it in 3 to 5 minutes. A rebate page answers four things: do I qualify, how much comes off, who files it, and the steps to apply.
Every page names the date each fact was read. A correction is a dated line in the changelog.
