Alabama Power Smart Thermostat Rebate: Open
Enrollment for 2026 is open. Open for applications. Alabama Power offers reimbursement for a qualifying thermostat purchase for a limited time.
Serves: Southern two-thirds of Alabama; Eastern, Birmingham, Western, Southern, Southeast and Mobile regions.
Do I Qualify
- Have active residential service and live in a qualifying single-family residence.
- Own the home or obtain the owner's consent.
- Apply within one year of purchase.
- An account that previously received a smart thermostat rebate or free thermostat does not qualify.
How Much Comes Off

Who Files It
The residential customer submits the receipt and proof of payment.
The money is paid to the homeowner.

- Install the thermostat and use the Reimburse Me application.
