Do I Qualify
- Have an active FPL residential account.
- Use new AHRI-certified equipment and an FPL Participating Independent Contractor.
- Window units and single-zone mini-splits do not qualify.
- A rebate for the same system within the past two years normally prevents another rebate.
How Much Comes Off
| Equipment | Requirement | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Central air conditioner | SEER2 15.2 rated unit and above; replace both indoor and outdoor units. | $200 per qualifying unit |
| Central heat pump | SEER2 equal to or greater than one point above current federal efficiency standards. | $200 per qualifying unit |
Who Files It
The participating contractor submits the reimbursement request and supporting documents to FPL.
The money is paid to the contractor.
The Steps to Apply
- Find an FPL-approved contractor through the program page. Find a contractor.
- Confirm equipment eligibility before installation.
- Check that the contractor subtracts the rebate on your invoice.
