Enrollment for 2026 is open. Open. All rebates listed below are effective as of February 1, 2023, and are subject to change or end at any time.
Serves: Large portions of Newton, Henry and Rockdale counties, plus parts of DeKalb, Butts, Walton, Jasper and Morgan counties.
Do I Qualify
- Be a current Snapping Shoals EMC member and provide purchase or installation proof.
- Apply within 90 days of purchase and provide an AHRI certificate for the heat pump.
- Dual-fuel heat pumps do not qualify.
How Much Comes Off

| Gas-to-electric heat pump conversion | 16 SEER or 15.2 SEER2 or higher. | $75 per ton |
| Smart thermostat | Wi-Fi-capable smart home thermostat; contact SSEMC for applicable models. | $75 per household |
Who Files It
The member completes the applicable rebate application.
The money is paid to the homeowner.
