Mass Save Air Source Heat Pumps: Open
Enrollment for 2026 is open. Open for 2026 installations. Rebate form and supporting documentation must be received by February 28, 2027.
Serves: Massachusetts residential customers of Berkshire Gas, Cape Light Compact, Eversource, Liberty, National Grid, or Unitil.
Do I Qualify
- Use a participating Heat Pump Installer Network contractor.
- Whole-home and partial-home offers require eligible heating displacement. Natural-gas customers apply through their gas sponsor.
- Basic requires a residential electric account served by Cape Light Compact, Eversource, National Grid, or Unitil.
- Replacing an existing heat pump does not qualify for whole-home or partial-home rebates.
- Whole-home projects require sufficient weatherization and a signed verification form.

Who Files It
The customer submits the signed application with installer documents. Payment may be assigned to an eligible installer.
The provider pays either the contractor or the homeowner.
The Steps to Apply
- Confirm the rebate tier before signing an installation contract.
- Install eligible equipment during the program year.
- Submit the invoice, payment proof, required verification forms, and outdoor-unit serial-number photographs by the application deadline.
