Santee Cooper — Smart Energy Existing Homes: Open
Enrollment for 2026 is open. Open. The manual says the Rebate Program is available beginning December 1, 2025, and ending November 30, 2026.
Serves: Santee Cooper retail service in Berkeley, Georgetown and Horry counties.
Do I Qualify
- The separately metered home receives Santee Cooper residential service and is at least five years old.
- Buy from and use a participating Trade Ally.
- Replace existing electric HVAC or a hybrid heat pump. Fuel switching does not qualify.
- Central, geothermal and hybrid systems must be no larger than 65,000 Btu/h.
- Rebates cover at most three qualifying heat-pump units per address.

Who Files It
The customer submits the application. The Trade Ally supplies equipment documents.
The money is paid to the homeowner.
The Steps to Apply
- Select a participating Trade Ally. Find a Trade Ally.
- Submit the application, AHRI certificate, invoice and warranty certification within 30 business days and by November 30, 2026.
