Do I Qualify
- You must be an SEC member with an eligible smart thermostat.
- You must supply and install the thermostat yourself or arrange installation.
- You need an email address for enrollment and program messages.
- SEC requires enrollment by June 1 for that summer's credit.
- The qualifying summer season covers June, July and August.
How Much Comes Off
| Equipment | Requirement | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Smart thermostat participation credit | Enroll an eligible Wi-Fi thermostat and successfully complete the first summer season. | $25 per first summer of participation |
Who Files It
The member enrolls the thermostat. SEC confirms enrollment by email and applies the bill credit after the qualifying summer.
The money is paid to the homeowner.

- When enrollment resumes, use the registration link for your eligible thermostat brand on SEC's program page. Read SEC's requirements.
