Do I Qualify
- MidAmerican must supply the primary heating or cooling fuel for your Iowa home.
- Install the thermostat, connect it to Wi-Fi and register it with the manufacturer before applying.
- Apply within 90 days of purchase or by December 31, 2026, whichever comes first.
How Much Comes Off

Who Files It
The customer submits the application. Payment goes to the account holder or building owner unless an alternative payee is authorized.
The provider pays either the contractor or the homeowner.
The Steps to Apply
- Choose an eligible thermostat and keep the itemized receipt.
- Install, connect and register the thermostat.
- Submit the rebate application and receipt. Apply for a rebate.
