Do I Qualify
- Nobody can apply today. The state has not opened either program.
- HOMES will be for upgrades that save at least 20% of the home's energy use, by a model.
- HEEHR will be for low-to-moderate income households, with heat pumps named as a qualifying project.
How Much Comes Off
DOE allocated $76 million to HOMES and $75 million to HEEHR for Missouri. These are state fund sizes, not per-home rebates. Per-home amounts are not published yet. Program page.
Who Files It
Nothing to file today. When the programs open, the state will publish who files and how.
The Steps to Apply
- Subscribe to the Division of Energy updates so you hear when the programs open. Get updates from DNR.
- Read the program page for the current status. DNR Home Energy Rebates page.
- Do not wait on it for a replacement this winter. Use the utility rebates that are open now.
Read on October 19, 2026 from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of Energy page. A change to this program is a dated line in the changelog.
