PNM Home Energy Checkup: Open
Enrollment for 2026 is open. Open while rebate funds are available for this program.
Serves: Greater Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Los Lunas, Belen, Santa Fe, Las Vegas, Alamogordo, Ruidoso, Silver City, Deming, Bayard, Lordsburg and Clayton; Tesuque, Cochiti, Santo Domingo, San Felipe, Santa Ana, Sandia, Isleta and Laguna Pueblos.
Do I Qualify
- Have PNM residential electric service.
- Complete the checkup before buying. Buy within six months and submit the claim within seven months after the checkup.
- Use an authorized contractor. The linked cooling form requires the existing system to work.
How Much Comes Off

| Split Air Source Heat Pump | SEER 14 and HSPF 8.2 on the linked cooling rebate form. | $550 per system |
| Packaged Air Source Heat Pump | SEER 14 and HSPF 8 on the linked cooling rebate form. | $550 per system |
Who Files It
The customer submits the application and supporting documents.
The money is paid to the homeowner.
The Steps to Apply
- Schedule the checkup before purchasing equipment. Review requirements.
- Install qualifying equipment and submit the invoice and required system documentation. Apply.
